Their basketry tradition goes back hundreds of years when they began to elaborate their baskets for every day chores such as placing the spun wool or storing food. These baskets are hand-woven and along with an ancestral spiral technique; the use of fique, vegetable dyes, salt, aloe, banana, orange and lemon, result in these colorful and unique crafts.
